J. & P. Toebes Farm has been in business since 1989. They began selling at the Owen Sound Farmers’ Market a year later. Farm spokesperson Jan Toebes’ impressive list of “Fresh from the Farm” vegetables include: beans, peas, tomatoes, cucumbers, lettuce, spinach, potatoes, rhubarb, onions, zucchini, garlic and pumpkins. Dykstra Orchards

Bolle Farms

Brenda and Jack Bolle have been farming since 1960. It has been six years since they began bringing their country fresh vegetables to the city, through the Owen Sound Farmers’ Market.

They have an extensive list of produce. In late spring and early summer there are green onions, radishes, asparagus, spinach and lettuce. In summer: carrots, potatoes, Spanish onions, and beets (bunched beets with greens and bunched baby carrots). In late summer and fall: squash, leeks, cabbage, brussel sprouts, cooking onions, turnips, kale and tomatoes. Read full article>>
